How Puppy Yoga Bali Helped Rescue Over 350 Dogs (2025 Impact Report)

Updated: Jul 28

What started as a feel-good activity has quietly become a movement. Behind the laughter, the puppy cuddles and the yoga mats, something big has happened. Real change. Real impact.

100% Rescue Puppies. Every. Single. Time.

Since one year, one, Puppy Yoga Bali made one radical choice: to organise sessions exclusively with rescue puppies. Not sometimes. Not occasionally. Always.

Each and every puppy comes from Aseman Bali Dog Association, a local nonprofit shelter doing extraordinary work. Together, we’ve created a win-win: the pups gain trust in humans, socialize in a safe space, and meet their potential future families.

4100% More Adoptions in Just 1 Year

Before Puppy Yoga Bali, the shelter averaged only 2 adoptions in 6 months. Since partnering together, that number exploded: over 75+ adoptions in just 1 year.

That’s a 4100% increase.

People meet, fall in love, and adopt. It’s that simple.

Over $25,000 Raised for Local Animal Welfare

Thanks to our sessions, events, donations and community support, more than $25,000 has been raised directly for:

  • Medical care

  • Sterilization campaigns

  • Puppy vaccines & food

  • Infrastructure for the shelter

And every session helps a little more.

Puppies Are Not Props, They’re the Mission

This is not about "cute for the 'gram." Every decision is guided by ethics:

  • No diapers

  • No forced cuddles

  • No overnight stays

  • Access to water at all times

  • A full team of 7 people cleaning and watching over them

  • One vet check and updated health certificate every week

We don’t want perfect photos.

We want healthy, happy pups.

From Street Dog to Star of Yoga

Some of our most inspiring stories come from the puppies themselves. Like Nalu, found covered in ticks on a beach. Or Tia, abandoned on the road with a broken paw. Both are now adopted, loved, and thriving—thanks to this very experience. Yes, They’re Vaccinated. All of Them.

Every single puppy has:

  • A full vaccination record (including rabies)

  • A personal health booklet

  • Weekly checkups from a licensed vet

  • A fresh health certificate issued before each session

You don’t just meet adorable puppies. You meet healthy, safe, and protected ones.

Final Thoughts: Puppy Yoga Bali Is Changing Lives

Not just for travelers. But for the puppies who once had no future. This is not just yoga with dogs. It’s a model of mindful tourism. A way to feel good and do good.

So next time someone asks if Puppy Yoga Bali is ethical, you can say:

Ethical? More than that. Puppy Yoga Bali is proof that tourism can heal, support, and rebuild lives ;for both dogs and humans.
